Hi, I'm Leya.

Figuring it out, out loud.

I'm an accidental AI super user. I don't consider myself technical, but I'm a mom of two little kids who is running a business and juggling a lot of hats. This all makes me an optimizer.

I'm always trying to figure out how I can do my work and my life faster, more consistently, and with fewer details swirling around my head. That's where AI has come in. I use AI across my work and my life to hold the mental load, so that I'm not holding it alone.

AI changed my work and my life more than anything else.

When I started my nonprofit fundraising consulting business, I wasn't just a fundraiser anymore. I was suddenly the CFO, operations manager and head of marketing, wearing 500 hats and doing things I'd never done before. In mid-2024 I kept hearing people say AI had changed their lives, so I went all in to find out if it could change mine.

It took so much work off of my plate, but the biggest surprise was the mental load relief. I wasn't doing it alone anymore. And now I'm sharing everything I've learned, and continue to learn, to help it take yours too.

A few things I believe.

01
Nobody is good at their job every single day.

As much as I like to think I am, I can't show up as my best self every day. I've spent the last two years building systems that manage the follow-through, memory, and consistency. So I get to still show up as excellent every day, even on the days I'm not.

02
The value of AI isn't the hours it saves.

Don't get me wrong, AI has saved me so much time, which as a busy working mom, is precious. But the bigger unlock is that I'm no longer the only one who knows all the things that need to happen. If you carry the mental load at home, you know exactly what I mean.

03
Used well, AI makes us more human, not less.

When I'm doing far less admin, project management and operations, I get the time back to be creative, strategic and relational. I get to focus on providing great strategy and recommendations to my clients, listening closely and being fully present with them. I offload the notes, follow-up, context organization and critical next steps, so that I can do what only I should and can do.

You don't have to be technical to run your business AI-first.

I consider myself non-technical. In mid-2024 I kept hearing people say AI had changed their lives, and I figured they were either exaggerating or I just didn't know how to really use AI. So I went all in to find out. I started using it like a chatbot, learned one tool at a time, and now I run a team of AI agents.

What I'm building.

I've spent seventeen years in nonprofit fundraising, and now I run my own firm. The best part for me is getting to bring in rockstars I trust to collaborate with me and serve amazing nonprofit clients.
